Why your dentist recommended this?

Savacol contains chlorhexidine gluconate, an antimicrobial ingredient that reduces harmful bacteria in the mouth. Your dentist may recommend Savacol when you have:

– Gum inflammation or bleeding

– Ulcers or soft-tissue irritation

– Difficulty brushing or flossing due to pain

– Post-surgical healing needs

– Localised infection or high plaque levels

– Orthodontic appliances making hygiene difficult

How chlorhexidine works?

Chlorhexidine:

1. Binds to bacteria and destroys their cell membranes

2. Reduces plaque levels and slows bacterial regrowth

3. Helps gums heal by lowering inflammation

4. Improves healing after dental procedures

5. Remains active for several hours (“substantivity”)

How to use Savacol?

Standard use (generalised inflammation or infection):

– Use 10 mL of Savacol

– Rinse for 30 seconds

– Spit out — do not swallow

– Use 2–3 times daily (morning and night, or after each meal if instructed)

For localised problems (with syringe):

– Draw 1–2 mL of Savacol into the syringe

– Let it sit for 30 seconds before spitting

How long do you use Savacol?

Long-term use may cause:

These effects are reversible.

Important product notes:
