The benefits of straighter teeth
Straighter teeth are easier to look after, and the benefits go beyond appearance. When your teeth sit in better positions, day-to-day cleaning gets simpler and some common problems become easier to avoid. Here is what well-aligned teeth can help with.

FAQs
Are clear aligners more comfortable than braces?
Many people find clear aligners more comfortable than fixed braces because there are no metal wires or brackets, and the trays are smooth plastic. You may feel mild pressure or sensitivity for a day or two when you switch to a new tray, which is normal.
Who is suitable for clear aligners?
Most teens and adults with mild to moderate alignment issues, such as crooked teeth, gaps or a mild overbite or underbite, can be suitable for clear aligners. More complex skeletal jaw issues may still need traditional braces or other treatment. Our dentists assess your teeth and your goals at your consultation to confirm whether aligners suit you.
How long does clear aligner treatment take?
Treatment time depends on your case and commonly runs between 6 and 18 months. We give you a personalised treatment plan and timeline at your consultation.
How many hours a day must I wear my aligners?
Wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, to drink anything other than water, and to brush and floss. Wearing them less than this can slow your treatment down.
Can I eat or drink with my aligners in?
Take your aligners out to eat or to drink anything other than water. After eating, brush your teeth, rinse the aligners, then put them back in. This helps prevent staining, damage and delays.
How do I care for my aligners?
Brush and floss before you reinsert your aligners. Clean the aligners themselves with cool water and a soft toothbrush, and avoid toothpaste, which can scratch them. Keep them in their protective case when they are out, and avoid hot drinks while wearing them.
